Maybe I'll read. And when I tire of Iran perhaps I will return to Beirut and see what its like when its not under fire or in the grip of civil war. Anything has to be better than Beirut 1985/86.

What do you think Winston - is it a good dream? Is it a dream you can believe in? Or are you going to turn your back on dreams? Many don't want to believe that kind of simple dream is possible but I do. And even if my dream is not possible in my lifetime, there is always my daughter, and her daughter, G-d willing, and her daughter, and if need and G-d be willing, her daughter.

Because the way is hard and long does not mean it is time to stop working and dreaming.K. He did NOT agree to speak with Iran yet. He is pressuring them to the wall.

President Bush won't speak to Iran either. He has said they must get rid of all their nuclear programs in a verifiable way. You do remember how long it took before anyone did anything Iraq? I have an idea President Bush was diplomatic. He was also being sly. Something is going on in Russia right now, too. Take a look at Soldier's Dad's blog.

I don't know if any of you ever read his blog, but he's often got interpretations of events that I would never have thought of and that make perfect sense. In any case, his take on things seems to be from a seasoned military strategists perspective and he seems to think there is something going on. The media will never get it right, so I always take his hunches to be a lot more reliable than what appears on the evening news.Louisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02047342179137111486noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16538109.post-1163556258564118592006-11-14T21:04:00.000-05:002006-11-14T21:04:00.000-05:00It's frustrating as hell. Even if the US gives them the security guarantees they covet so much, do you really think Iran will stop it's terrorist and interventionist policies in the region or it would stop building it's nuclear weapon? Knowing the duplicitous nature of the mullahs, we all know the answer is a resounding NO.

The US eventually has to protect her interest in the region and the longer they wait the more devestating the response and costlier the price in terms of life and limb for the Iranians and the Americans and in fact, the whole world.SERENDIPhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03723694891858094208noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16538109.post-1163545607992238162006-11-14T18:06:00.000-05:002006-11-14T18:06:00.000-05:00Winston, this is politics my friends. The key is to keep going on with what you are doing and remember that everything that you do makes a difference. Also hope is power, don't let anyone take that away from you.

Cheers

SayehShiro_Khorshidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10059628667700675088noreply@blogger.com
