That is what I sent to the Danish embassy in Ottawa showing my support and also apologizing for what happened to their embassy in Tehran and that they replied to me today. And I also encourage other Iranian webloggers to do the same if they haven't done so. Let's show them that we are still civilized.
This is what I sent them:
As an Iranian living in Canada, I am deeply sorry for what happened to your embassy in Tehran and I hope you do not view the few numbers of the radicals as the entire population of Iran who wish to co-exist with the democratic world.
Please accept my apologies for the incident and also for the damages inflicted on your mission in Tehran and be advised that many many Iranians whom I know, have utmost respect for your great country and nation and all of us support the freedom of speech and tend to stand with you.
The Danish embassy responded to my e-mail as seen below:
Thank you for your letter and opinion.
We appreciate your support.
Dialogue based on mutual respect is the only way forward.
Poul E. D. Kristensen
Danish Ambassador to Canada
