- What many Americans don't realize is that – 28 years after taking power – the ruling mullahs and their henchmen are hated in Iran and their power is shaky. Why? The Iranian people, including the vast majority of those under the age of 30, know them for who they are.
Newt Gingrich, former US House speaker, says:
- The Iranian regime is indeed dangerous and must be stopped. However, it is dangerous not just because of what weapons it has or is pursuing, but because of its evil intent. Therefore, the only viable long-term strategy for safety against Iran is replacing the regime - with force if necessary, but without force if possible.

They are also hated by any American with half a brain. God, I hate the ex-president being on my soil! It makes me want to be sick. Now, Ahmadinejad has sent an application to come to the USA after thumbing his nose at us? THEY HAD BETTER NOT. That's all I have to say about that.
Do you mean Iranian intelligencia, or the overall Iranian public? Isually anti-Semitism delivers to the rulers who want their public to blame someone else for their problems. Is it possible that Ahmadinejan will scream "Zionist Agents!!!" and call the help of non-educated public at the first sign of trouble?
To make it clear - I fully support you in your desire to see Iran civilised and free of tyranny.

"What many Americans don't realize is that – 28 years after taking power – the ruling mullahs and their henchmen are hated in Iran and their power is shaky."
Did not former president Khatami say the very same thing? Did he not use his election as figurehead of Iran as proof that the power of the mullahs was slipping?
Was it not all a lie?
Why should we believe any other Iranian figurehead now?
I'm sure the mullahs are despised, but as long as they can keep the people who despise them from organizing against them, their power will remain steady as the Earth itself.
سدی جان دیدم و لذت بردم. دلم میخواست قیافه این عنتر رو ببینم وقتی شکایت رو دستش میدادند
