Me, 9/11 and Iran

These are photos of Iranian citizens holding a candle vigil in downtown Tehran for the victims of Sept, 11th attacks in NYC, DC and Pennsylvania.

September 11th is here and every time this day comes and goes by, it makes me think of that awful day back in 2001. I was in the military serving as a regular soldier, it was afternoon time by our local time in Tehran and I think I was on leave and spending the time at my good old friend Downer's home.

I had a strange headache too, so I fell asleep on the sofa at Downer's room. Suddenly he came in and said hey, an airplane went into one of the New York's buildings and I said oh come on... it must not be some thing serious and then he said come and watch Fox News, it's all over the news. Then we watched those awful scenes on TV, but I had to go back to military base. On the way to the base, the cab driver had VOA persian on radio and I listened to unbelievable news of the terror attacks in the US. Close to the base, I stopped by a grocery store to buy some thing before going there and I saw on TV, several times, that another plane went into the 2nd tower right in front of my eyes. All of a sudden, my weird headache was gone, I was unable to comprehend what I was watching. America, my lovely US, was under attack. By whom, I didn't know. No one knew either.

Back in base, people were glued to TV screens and I stayed up until 4 in the morning watching the only available channels, regime's TV, to understand what was going on. It was a terrible night and I couldn't even finish my dinner.

In the morning of 12th of Sept. all leaves were cancelled and there was a briefing for all to stand by for further orders. For couple of weeks, there was no "Death to America" in the daily routines and ceremonies all over the country.

Couple of days after the terrorist attacks on America, some good Iranian fellows gathered in a famous square in center of Tehran and held a vigil for the victims of the September 11th attacks. Their gathering was confronted by Islamic militia and they were beaten for it. ((above photos))

Five years after that tragedy, I still can not fathom how a group of evil human beings can kill massive numbers of innocent people in one single day. 5 years after that horrible day, I still can not hide my anger at the Islamic radicals who kill people indiscriminately around the world in the name of their fake religion. Five years after 9/11 I am wondering why terrorism sponsor governments such as Iran and Syria are still in power. And there are, of course, many many un-answered questions about the handling of war on terror such as the soft response to the bullying of a terrorist regime like Iran. Why are they not being treated harshly for the crimes they do every day. And of course, the leftists' stupid judgements and responses make me crazier and make them more hated in wise people's eyes.

Any ways, five years passed since 9/11 and the free world is still struggling against the Islamic terrorism and yet they are not even united in this global struggle. But they have no way other than unity against the menace that is threatening the western civilization. The sooner they get united against this, the better for all of us, freedom loving people of the world.

Let's hope for a day when people can live in peace and safety.

Thanks so much.
I saw it on tv just after I woke. I thought it was a scene from a movie or some kind of dramatization. It was unbelieveable. I was glued to my tv all day.

Amen.

It is interesting observation about suspension of "Death to America" for a few days. I guess someone on the top was afraid that US may drop a nuke or two on the presidential palace in the heat of the moment.

Winston another great post.

I have to sa that my "favorite" is the lefty response to (as you call it) the soft reactions of the West.
Can you just see the head spinning and blank eyed stares that would come from lefties if the west reacted to islamofascists they way they should?

Sign the paper on the line
Then put it in the box
Sign the paper on the line
Then put it in the box

Every paper that you sign
Puts another Jew in line
No need to ask just how
Cause the Nazis run things now

Sign the paper on the line
Then put it in the box
Sign the paper on the line
Then put it in the box

Drop the tablet in the hole
Then turn the handle twice
Drop the tablet in the hole
Then turn the handle twice

Every tablet that you drop
Causes some kike's heart to stop
No need to ask just why
Cause the Nazis wouldn't lie

Drop the tablet in the hole
Then turn the handle twice
Drop the tablet in the hole
Then turn the handle twice

Take a picture of the corpse
Then send it to the boss
Take a picture of the corpse
Then send it to the boss

Every picture you submit
Kills another Zionist
Don't ask just how it works
Cause thinking is for jerks

Take a picture of the corpse
Then send it to the boss
Take a picture of the corpse
Then send it to the boss

Without knowing all the facts
All these simple little acts
Repeated till their meaning's lost
We know them as the Holocaust

Yes my friend, it's hard to understand how anyone could kill so many innocents. Thanks to a loving God and to courageous men and women who rushed into that building, thousands and thousands, and thousands were saved.

I don't think people ever think about that. All the ones who were brought down the stairs to safety as their guardians swifty turned and ran back to help more.
