The Shah's Birthday

Today is the birthday of the late Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, whom I admire a lot and respect very much. He was among a few Iranians who really cared about Iran and did what he could to modernize a nation that was held backward by religious beliefs and outdated thoughts. Today we remember his service to the nation and hail him as a great man.

Great visionary.
He lost his throne, but we're losing our way of life as certainly and that doesn't just include the Iranians but the whole Western world.

Javid Shah!

God bless his Imperial Majesty - although with the leaving of the Shah, Iran was reduced to ashes time will come when a NEW generation of Iranians will revive this ancient land and re-instill those very Iranian values which the Shahanshah represented.

I've got an entry dedicated to His Imperial Majesty as well.

He might be a great man for you and your fellow monarchists. But for me he was a selfish man who did not care about other's opinion and that landed him in trouble. He could have saved the country in many occasions but he ignored the warning until it was too late, when he saw the crowd from the sky!
