Senator Santorum

I have remained, mostly, silent about mid-term elections in the States and I don't believe what MSM are feeding us with this nonesense that DemoNRats will win this mid-term elections and gain control of both House and Senate. I doubt Democrats win the majority in Senate or the House but it remains to be seen by Tuesday night.

However it seems Pennsylvania senator Rick Santorum is not in good shape and it makes me feel bad about his possible loss in this election. You may ask why? And I say because he has been a strong advocate for a free and democratic Iran, he has been a friend of Iranian dissidents and has done a lot for the cause of freedom in my motherland.

If he loses, Iranian people, too, will lose one of their advocates and best friend in the US Senate. I really hope he wins and I do keep my fingers crossed.

Please, if you are in the state of Pennsylvania, go ahead and vote for Senator Rick Santorum. It makes a lot of difference not just to you but to many people in Iran who look at America as the beacon of hope and freedom. It's important that strong senators, like Sen. Santorum, win.

Winston, you're dead right.
Santorum has been the most vociferous proponent of regime change in Iran and supporter of Iranian democrats (small d). Despite the constant opposition from the foreign policy establishment, and from some parts of the Administration (Rice), he continued to push the need to confront the Islamic Republic to the front burner. His clear-eyed warnings of the dangers posed by regime in Iran, of its sponsoring of the brutal violence in Iraq, of its support for international Islamic terrorism of its goal to destroy Israel should have served as a wake-up call to all those of us who seem determined to slip back into our pre-9/11 slumber. Unfortunately, his steadfastness on the Iranian issue has gone mostly unreported in the MSM and is all but unappreciated by his constituents. That a politician of such moral clarity is handily defeated by such a weak contender speaks poorly of not just the voters in Pennsylvania, but of all citizens across the free world.
