Israel Destruction Possible

Just came across this piece in Persian language on Islamic Republic News Agency* web site which calls for possible destruction of Israel in near future by the Iranian regime's ambassador to Syria in a meeting with Palestinian representatives on the occasion of the 28th anniversary of the Islamic revolution.

Mohammad Hassan Akhtari, the Iranian ambassador to Syria said, we hope that Palestinians win over the Israelis in the near future so that all Palestinian refugees can go back to their own country. He also added that he personally hopes that next year Palestinians present in the meeting can invite their Iranian counterparts to a freed Palestinian land for the 29th anniversary of the Islamic revolution. Iranian envoy to Syria Hassan Akhtari quoted as saying that destruction of Israel is a possibility and it will happen in the near future and all evidences point to that direction.

Winston good link I like to read propaganda its entertaining. It also is very telling when you view reality versus fantasy such as:
"The US and its allies are facing a difficult situation on account of Iran's political achievements over the past two years and its success in producing nuclear energy.
Without the aide of Russia and China I doubt there would be much success in nuclear energy. And what political achievements aside from being a thorn in the side of the Middle East.Wish I had a good PR man I would King by now.

I didn't realize that Iran was that isolated from reality. The palestinians are taking over Israel by a rather circuitous route. I believe that they are attacking Gaza first and hope to gain victory over the West Bank in a few months or years. Maybe decades.

Mike: That is exactly right. The Iranian ruling elite are intoxicated with their new-found wealth and power via high oil prices and that has led them to delusional dreams of grandeur and disconnect with realities on the gound.
