Salman Rushdie

A so-called NGO of the Islamic regime of Iran will reward any one who would kill the British author Salman Rushdie with USD 150,000. Regime's Fars news agency quotes the head of the 'Honoring the Martyrs of Islamic World Movement Foundation' as saying:
"According to Imam Khomeini's verdict, it is an obligation for all Muslims to kill Salman Rushdie even if he repents from the bottom of his heart and becomes the pious man of the time"
This is yet another evidence to prove the evil nature of the Iranian regime run by the Islamic clerics since 1979.

I am not a great fan of Rasdie's writings and I don't believe that his talent is "knighthood" caliber. However, having said that , it think it a bold move by the committee to give him this knighthood and they just did it to stick it to the Mullahs.

Don't worry. That stupid announcement will be drowned out by the chorus of condemnation from all right-thinking Muslims everywhere. Hear it? Hear it? Any time, now, I'm pretty sure ...

If he has actual NGO status, it should be stripped. How dare he! People are in court facing many years in prison for 'offending' Muslims, and these people get to walk around actually threatening the lives of people? Am in the twilight zone?
