Minab

Persian language web site Jahan News reports that heavy clashes have taken place in the southern Iranian town of Minab where local people attacked the gov't buildings and took control of one police station following the death of two other locals in a police pursuit out of the town. Fifty cars full of angry people attacked a police station and inflicted heavy damages and blocked the roads.

However, the unrest stopped when security forces deployed a large number of their officers in and around the town and tribal elders intervened to tone down the angry people. No death or injury has been reported yet!
