The students defied security forces to protest jail terms for three student leaders who were convicted of “insulting Islam’s sanctities and its authorities” in articles for a student newsletter."
I believe there are very few foreign governments left that really care about the Iranian students movement nowadays and the US government is one of the few that does support the freedom in Iran.
