RP's Interview

Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi of Iran was interviewed by Al-Watan newspaper based in Kuwait, and here is the full text of that interview in English, Persian and Arabic.
"Q- How do you evaluate the recurring executions carried out in Iran?"

"A- The regime maintains its suffocating grip over the citizens by using brute force and repression of dissent. Gruesome acts of public executions are barbaric methods and chilling reminders of the fate of dissenters in Iran. Through fear and humiliation, the regime commands submission. Public stoning of women and the execution of underage youth are revolting reminders of the regime’s callous disregard for human life, dignity and civility."
Prince Reza is the only opposition figure who makes sense and whom I trust very much.

Winston,

In the interview, he says that he serves as a conduit to organize all the opposition to the regime. Do you believe that to be the case? Also, twice the interviewer asked if he wanted to be Shah and both times he said he would serve as the Iranian people wished. Since he held up several constitutional monarchies as examples, what do you think he really wants?

I think what he really wants is what he said in this and other interviews. I find him a sincere person and I trust him.
