Great Speech

I deeply felt it is important to share this amazing speech with you. The speech was made by the famous Dutch MP Geert Wilders who is really famous for making the anti Islamism Fitna movie a while ago. Read it for yourself:
"Dear friends, liberty is the most precious of gifts. My generation never had to fight for this freedom, it was offered to us on a silver platter, by people who fought for it with their lives. All throughout Europe American cemeteries remind us of the young boys who never made it home, and whose memory we cherish. My generation does not own this freedom; we are merely its custodians. We can only hand over this hard won liberty to Europe’s children in the same state in which it was offered to us. We cannot strike a deal with mullahs and imams. Future generations would never forgive us. We cannot squander our liberties. We simply do not have the right to do so."
Read the whole thing please and share it with your friends.

Hey Winston,

I noticed a new book showed up on your "recently read" section called The Shah: His Life and Times.

How was it? I'm thinking of picking it up for some holiday reading only if it's fair to the Shah (not some "critical" biography).

It's good. It's not critical of the Shah nor it is romantic about the Shah. It's not even so much about him. It's about the structure of government from 1941 to 1979. I wouldn't put it on my blog if it was a leftie critic of the late Shah. It's been good so far.

Sounds interesting - I'll have to pick it up soon.
