Unhappy Unrests

From what I hear and read daily, several labor union members have been detained or harassed by the Iranian regime in the past few days. Most notably, teachers' unions have been the main target of the regime. I am not a big fan of labor unions here in North America because they are bunch of greedy selfish people but I understand that the existence of unions in oppressive societies like Iran should be fully encouraged and supported. Iranian labor unions can be used to exploit the weakness of the mullahs. It's utterly sad that western labor movements don't see it fit to support their comrades inside of Iran.
