- "Ask yourself: Can a regime that is hated and rejected by a huge majority of the population transform itself into a democratic administration that recognizes the rule of law? Has it ever in history been possible for a political transition to take place peacefully and without the shedding of blood?"
I'm now going to catch some sleep but I'll be up to live-blog tomorrow's anti-regime rally in Tehran and other major cities.

I pray for a happy ending to a tragic story that has dragged on far too long....My thoughts will be with you all in the coming days as you lead the way to your freedom....
That was an amazing letter. Thank you, Winston.
I heard you on Hugh Hewitt and Had to find you. I'm glad I did
Hey Winston, Can you please let us know when the live blogging sessions are going to start?
Also, do you know of any websites that will be streaming live video from the rally? Perhaps an Arab or Persian tv station will be covering it?
Keep up the good fight man.
The summer has traditionally been a good time for demonstrations and protests due to the dry weather. Khamenei, you are not off the hook yet. May you continue to worry and have many sleepless nights. Why not have a coronary while you are at it.
I fear that another Tienanmen massacre is about to happen.
Dmarks: Fortunately everyone has a cell phone these days and almost all of them can record videos/photos. If Ali Khamenei decides to make this a bloodbath, the entire world will see. It will show the true colors of the regime in Iran.
There seems to be a news blackout from Tehran.
I heard from several sources there has been an explosion at Khomeini's tomb, if this is true it is definitely done by the regime itself to justify more crackdown. 100% guaranteed they did it, this is what they have done in the past many times when they are very desperate (ie, cinema Rex of Abadan, Shiraz mosque last year, Zahedan Mosque before election). This feels as good as when I heard Khomeini died.
@saggezard, I have no doubt it is done by the regime
