Iran's Bomb

The Obama administration and other European governments have resigned themselves to the most ridiculous outcome of this nuclear debacle with Iran. They appear to have no problem with a nuclear armed Iran on their hands in the near future. Watching Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak on CNN this past Sunday while awaiting my flight back to Canada, I was shocked when I heard him say this:
"I don’t think that the Iranians, even if they got the bomb, they’re going to drop it immediately on some neighbor. They fully understand what might follow. They’re radical, but not total mishuginas."
And this coming from the Defense Minister of a state whose very own survival depends on the outcome of the developments in Iran. Seems they have not learned a thing or two in the past 30 years. The 'sanction strategy' will not work and it will enable the mullahs to acquire the nuclear bomb while suppressing the dissidents even further. This will be a terrible mistake by clueless western states to allow the current Iranian regime arm itself with the nuclear weapons.

War with Iran?

I’m not sure what you want European government and USA to do. Attack Iran ? Which will unite the Iranians and the Muslims behind the present regime leading to another ‘clash of civilizations, besides the catastrophe it is going to unleash in the entire Middle East and beyond. Otherwise, the volcano of opposition mounting within the country will erupt some time which will sweep away the mullah dictatorship .I feel Ehud Barak is right .What other nations can practically do is , to empower the opposition, especially by augmenting their cyber connectivity and reach . Which might be possible by providing more satellites et al.
