Repression goes on

The green movement leaders have been jailed and the brave Iranian people went out to protest against the regime. More than 200 protesters have been detained during the anti-regime demonstrations on March 1st and 2nd.

The Iranian regime's repression goes on while the rest of the world's attention is concentrated on the ongoing conflict in Libya. [+]

Emanuele Ottolenghi writes in the Wall Street Journal:
"International sanctions are no substitute for the courage the Iranian people need to confront their tyrants. But sanctions would offer them some succor, and would finally extract a price for the drunken orgy of violence that has gone on in Iran for far too long."
