Finally this day has come for us to see a fresh and strong prime minister in this country.
The leader of Canada's Conservative party, Hon. Stephen Harper, has been sworn in as the country's new prime minister.
Prime Minister Harper said in a statement today that "Our mission is clear. We will restore faith and trust in our public institutions as we keep Canada strong and united," Mr Harper said in a statement. "
I look forward to the day when his government wants to pass the tax cut legislation in the house of commons and it would be fun to see who would oppose that.
The other good story today was the defection of the Liberal MP Emerson to the conservatives for cabinet seat and I firmly believe it is a blow to people like Belinda Stronach who left her party for a seat in the Liberal cabinet last summer.
Welcome Prime Minister Harper and I hope you bring us some good changes!
