Talking to my mother over the phone yesterday, she updated me about the changes and events taking place inside of Iran.
Since she's also a social activist, her knowledge of the Iranian society is quite valid to me and I do consider her comments, on social issues, of important nature. Right or Wrong, I don't know now but time will tell if she was correct this time again. I've to wait and see how this one unfolds!
I asked her what was with the Iranian government's new claim on Uranium Enrichment and what do people think of it.
She said, it's always been like this and regime which tends to submit to the will of the world, in the first place, tries to make it look good inside the country. They usually come up with lots of big news/propaganda on their so-called achievements to make the ordinary people and their supporters feel proud about those stuff and then they'll make it in the final moment and will come to an agreement with the rest of the world over every single issues just to be able to stay in power as long as possible. To the clerics, staying in power and sucking Iran's resources and filling their pockets with Oil Money is more important than any thing else.
She mentioned that people feel they are totally abandoned by the government. The quality of life is going lower and the amount of dissatisfaction is also growing stronger on a daily basis among the people... And number of citizens wishing to leave the country for a better life abroad is increasing due to the vast frustration and high unemployment rate especially among the youngsters!
My own take is, it seems uncertain if this new conflict over the regime's nuclear ambitions would help them stay in power any longer or not since this single issue is very unique and the regime has never had such a problem in hand to deal with before. But the possibility of their survival is very little this time. At least I keep my fingers crossed!

I think your mom is right!
Thanks for sharing that opinion. I do hope that the end of these filthy terrorists is VERY near now - but I hope it will happen through Iranian hands and not foreign ones...
Wish your mome were right, but seems like wishful thinking to me.
President Ahmadinejad isn't going to blink until his country is destroyed.
I did a post the other day, and visited the Iranian presidents website, you should check it out. There are a great deal of press releases, and it's funny reading the speaches he did nationaly compared to the ones he issues globaly, night and day. Globaly he talks much of Irans being a peaceful nation and interested only in the well being of his people, while nationaly he appluads Hamas and Hezbollah for thier couragious fight for "true islam". The guy is a lying sack of chit and can't be trusted.
Aryamehr, the current president would hardly do anything against terrorists, they are his bigges income base, and he also dumps alot of money right back at them....
Hope your mom is in good health and that she is right. The Iranian government is the only one that really wants a war, not even North Korea wants a war. Certainly not any Western country, it's hard to convince the Western public to keep troops committed to anything - even if it is ultimately to save our own lives.
So Iranian dictators are stealing the oil profits for themselves and not Allah? Isn't that a kind of blasphemy? I would think it's worse than a cartoon at least.

I love that cute little guy sitting there saying, "I dunno!" lol.
I pray your Mom is correct. I still don't know how anything will get better in Iran with that regime controlling it.
I do agree with Aryamehr. I believe it should be the Iranian people who bring them down. I will continue to pray for this outcome...
