Scary America, Scary Bush

The Australian via al-Reuters: Bush scarier than Kim Jong-il: UK poll
A majority of people quizzed in three out of four countries polled also rejected the March 2003 US-led invasion of Iraq. . .

Britain's Guardian newspaper said it carried out the survey along with Israel's Haaretz, La Presse and Toronto Star in Canada and Mexico's Reforma. . .

A majority of Canadians and Mexicans agreed, with 62 per cent of those polled in Canada and 57 per cent in Mexico saying their neighbour's policy had made the world more dangerous...

Anti-Bush/America Canadians?

I couldn't believe it before, but now that I have seen anti-America individuals in Canada, I believe it. It's really sad to see people who carry blind hatred towards Americans the same way Mullahs and Jihadists do.

One of my classmates, who has never been to the States, was shocked when I told her that Americans can be nice, gracious and soft hearted people. She said people who have elected an evil like Bush can not be human beings.

It's really upsetting, isn't it?

I don't want people like that to respect my country anyway, Winston. Those are the people who are destroying western culture in their misguided attempts to "protect" it.

I'm really curious how the surveyors chose who they should to talk to. If the Canadian survey was done using names of the Toronto Star subscribers, that should tell you something. I'm told the Guardian is pretty left wing, too. If they chose to interview only subscribers, or, worse yet, if it was an online poll conducted at their website, then it's pretty much useless.

Oh well. It stopped bothering me a long time ago when I realized that they couldn't survive without us.

Can you imagine what Canada would be like if there were no USA? Ask her that...

Rosemary. Canada would have to quite bitching and whining and would finally get back it's backbone.

Mind you, because there is a US of A and because 80% of our trade is conducted across our mutual border, if the US ever went the down the tube, guess who would fall in after you.

Canadians, at the moment, have a singular stupidity about them. In my insaner moments, I sometimes wish the US would go down the tube just to teach the lefties and loonies here a lesson. But, seriously, I don't wish that on you or anyone, but why can't Canadians open their eyes and see what is right in front of them. I really don't know.

I can answer that. When people are not forced to be responsible for themselves, when people have someone who is always there for them, they become resentful.

They are dependent, and they don't like it. I don't blame them, I don't like it either! (When I have to depend on others.)

I guess it just comes out in funny and not so funny ways. Don't worry. We now have a 4.4 unemployment rate. How are you guys doing? :)
