You go, John!

One of the few remaining sane voices of Washington suggests regime change in Iran:
"If we were to strike Iran it should be accompanied by an effort at regime change ... The US once had the capability to engineer the clandestine overthrow of governments. I wish we could get it back, ..."
That's what I have said all the way in my blog. Leaving a wounded and crazy regime will worsen the situation. The mad mullahs must be finished and removed once any military action is taken by the coalition forces. Otherwise, we'll be stuck with the same regime as we are today. Don't repeat 1991 persian gulf war. It'll be a mistake!

Amen. IRI must go, although with the recent shuffling it seems there is a Rafsanjani power base in place which looks to dress itself as a moderate voice of the Islamic regime. I support Reza Pahlavi as the constitutional monarch of Iran.

In other words, ignore the UN. I think you're on the right track, Winston.

It has been suggested that a full-scale invasion of Iran would be disastrous because the Iranians hate occupiers more than they hate the regime. So, what could be done, short of such an invasion, to affect regime change?

And we all know how well regime change worked in Iran! I mean *everyone, without exception* in Iraq loves America and there is *no significant* resistance to the occupation, right?
