How Fitting...

This still makes sense almost 46 years after it was made by Ronald Reagan back in 1964.

The above video is Reagan's 1964 speech put in modern context. How fitting!

MAN!
How reticent. It's amazing how 44 years later that speech is just as relevant now as it was then. This should be an ad the GOP runs.

This is OT but I am wondering if you could direct me to some information regarding the Baha'i of Iran? We have quite a few here in Paraguay and they are very active with a lot of 'missionaries' whom the call 'pioneers'. They seem harmless enough but I am unfamiliar with the belief system.

As much as I appreciate Reagan, he didn't have any positive impact on Iran, though overall he raised the American dispirited morale at the time.

JM dear, do google for baha'is, lot of info about them and their belief system on the web vs. Christian missionaries in S. America.

I think he was preoccupied with a greater threat that was Communism and evil soviets. He did that job better than any one else.

Excellent post! Ronald Reagan was a man of timeless wisdom. I only wish people would wake up and pay heed to the truth which should be so obvious.

preoccupied? oh, excuses, excuses.

Anon.... excuses for what? I presume that you would prefer that the USSR were still around and that Ronald would have gone in and "overthrown" the Iranian regime so that you could bitch about him like I'm sure you bitch about "W" and Iraq..... of course Afghanistan NOW it is ok to be in there with the current administration.....

Sorry Winston.... GREAT post and video...
