Police Vs People

This is a video by the Italian TV reporter showing police attacking people. Then the people charge at the police motorcycles and capture a few officers. First people attacking police in Iran is unheard of. Then at the end of the video you'll see how people shield the same officer from further beating by angry people. This is excellent. Goes to show the people are FED UP. It proves that the regime might not look invincible in the eyes of Iranians any more. If this is the case, the regime is shaky, then its fall might come sooner than later. Let's give our support to those in the streets of Tehran and other cities who are fighting against regime brutality... 'Death to Dictator'

A friend asked about how he can help: Write to your MPs, elected officials and governments. Demand they don't negotiate with the mullahs under any circumstances.

Update 1: German news agency reports that Mousavi has called for a mass rally from Enghelab Sq to Azadi Sq. tomorrow (Monday June 15th) in Tehran at 4pm. That'll be an interesting development. My sources also confirm this story. Stay tuned

Update 2: A friend called and said the businesses and workers may go on general strike in Iran beginning Monday or Tuesday.

URGENT UPDATE: Security forces have raided the main campus of Tehran university in NW of Tehran. Shots being fired and heard across the area. 15 students injured. One killed (unconfirmed)

Updated at 9:45pm ET: People chant "We Want Freedom" in this video by BBC News reporter from Tehran. This is not a reform Vs hardliner protest. These are anti-regime, pro-freedom riots.

Among the captured riot police there have been one Palestinian and one Yemenite. Also the two sons and one daughter of Rafsanjani were seen fleeing the country at the Airport yesterday.

Iranians tasted relative freedom in the past three weeks of elections, now do not want to get back into their chains. Iranians do not prefer Mousavi, nor do they only hate Ahmadinejad, they do not want the whole Islamic establishment to its every component.

How can we help Winston?

hi Doc

I think ppl could help by spreading the word, by writing to your MP, congressmen or heads of government asking them not to negotiate with the Iranian regime.

I am glad that I found your blog again Winston. It is so obvious that the election results were a fraud. One could see what was going to take place even before the results were announced.

This result is meant to be the mullahs response to Obama the weak.

Winston: Please tell your friends in Iran that we support them to the fullest!

It's time that Iran joins the civilized world and becomes a free society with true democracy.

No more mullahs, no more police harassment, no more Ahmadinejad, no more threats to Israel and America.

I'm scouring the internet for every bit of news I can find. I keep coming back to your blog and Azarmehr's. Your blog roles are also very useful. I hope you can continue to report what you are hearing, and, more especially, I hope the people in Iran with whom you and your compatriots maintain contact will not be completely cut off. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this one seems to be bigger than any previous rebellion since the regime was established. Godspeed to all of you!!

Freedom is a sweet thing but fighting for it is just so difficult. Still we must never stop dreaming and aiming for it.

Fox news is constantly talking about the protests today. I hope our countrymen see the fight the Iranian people have taken on for freedom and peace and realize the importance.

Michael Ledeen said there are about 1-2 MILLION people in the streets protesting. Death To The Dictator! May the Iranian People find all the freedom and success they are sacrificing so much for. Who said war was not the answer? Oh yeah, those ungrateful nuts. Great job, Winston. Keep it up.
