Worse than ever

Things seem to be getting worse inside Iran. The prospect of strikes against the regime's illegal nuclear facilities have many people whom I have talked to, worried and restless. But beyond this, the human rights side of the equation is getting worse on a daily basis. Three more independent newspapers have been shut down and the first death sentence was handed down today to a member of an obscure pro-monarchy group that has its TV stations in Britain. Though this group has no link with Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi's activities or agenda.

The Iranian regime is ever more fragile and on the verge of internal collapse. Shifting the thugs around signals this weakness and shows how worried the regime's leadership must be. Tougher sanctions, diplomatic isolation and stronger support for the Iranian people, especially our brave Iranian women, can bring an end to regime's life for good.
