Time magazine believes this will hurt Obama. Britain's Times of London newspaper commentary: Absurd decision on Obama makes a mockery of the Nobel peace prize. The Economist magazine questions the confidence of this man.
I mean, aside from the stupid decision by the Nobel committee what has Obama achieved in his life time to deserve such a silly prize? Nothing!
To end this short piece, I'd like to draw your attention to this excellent piece on American Thinker website:
- "It's not so much that he's a phony, knows nothing about economics, is historically illiterate, and woefully small minded for the size of the task-- all contributory of course. It's that he's not one of us. And whatever he is, his profile is fuzzy and devoid of content, like a cardboard cutout made from de-laminated corrugated paper. Moreover, he doesn't command our respect and is unable to appeal to our own common sense. His notions of right and wrong are repugnant and how things work just don't add up. They are not existential. His descriptions of the world we live in don't make sense and don't correspond with our experience."

I ought to be really angry about this joke prize, but I'm still numb from the shock. Who's next: Ahmadinejad?
I don't see why not. They gave it to Arafat.
Many of the winners risked everything they had to stand up for what they believe. But unfortunately Pres. Obama won't meet with the Dalai Lama, a fellow Nobel winner, for fear of offending the Chinese. Nor will he allow the State Dept. to call the IRI a "regime" for fear offending the Mullahs.
I still think his election was a remarkable, inspiring milestone. But I regret the foreign policy he has advanced in the name of "realism."
i think obama getting his prize was more to show how bad was bush's politic in last 8 years. And to put some pressure on obama to reach peace in the middle east. I think he can succeed.
