Clueless State Dept

US State Dept is completely clueless when it comes to Iranian regime issues:

Burns also noted that some members of Congress have sought to establish relations on a personal level with the Iranian Majles [Iranian parliament], and he welcomed those efforts.

How many times should they try this failed tactic? Instead of stopping any talks with the evil regime of Iran, the US State Dept is for such useless gestures. They don't understand that any talk at any level between Iran and United States will legitimize the mullahs in the eyes of the people of Iran.

Happy New Year! (Sorry. I forgot to come over.)

The state dept is the first cabinet office I would eliminate were I to become president! It has never been useful. They always only want to talk, no matter how many people they see suffer.

It was the state dept, not the pentagon, that ran the war in Iraq for the first year after Baghdad fell. If you are looking for answers as to why we sucked after such a huge success, there's your answer.

Paul Bremmer was state, not pentagon.
