If you ever wondered which country has a solid pro-American population in the middle-east then you've got to read
this article from the WaPo newspaper:
"It might startle some Americans to realize that Iran has one of the most pro-American populations in the Middle East. Iranians have adored America for nearly three decades..."
When I lived in Iran until a few years ago, there I came across many ordinary people who begged for a military liberation of their own country and hated the clerics so much that they publicly called president Bush the
Imam Zaman of our time. I'll never forget the day when Saddam was caught in that hole in late 2003. I was in a taxi and the driver was talking about how Bush is the Iranian people's messiah. It's just too bad that President Bush and his administration didn't use that opportunity to seek the removal of the Mullahs. And I am certain that the United States as a whole has become more and more popular inside of Iran since the day I left but it is important to note that Iran has always been potentially a very pro-American nation in an anti-US region. This simple fact makes the people of Iran the natural ally of the west and in particular America in our common struggle against the radical Islam.

Had things worked out in Iraq a little differently, such an opportunity might have existed. But who knows? Depending on what happens in November that "opportunity" may emerge. But please be careful what you wish for..
have you seen this?

anon, I saw it and honestly I don't know what it is about. Didn't hear any thing about it either. But on a serious note, the guy who wrote it needs some serious English as second language lessons. LoL...

My next door neighbor is Iranian and travels back there quite often and he told me pretty much the same thing.
Winston, you should tell them that an invasion is unlikely. Airstrikes are probably on their way from Israel, the U.S., or both and they should be prepared to stage a coup in the ensuing confusion.
