Canadians Defend Danish Paper

As I mentioned earlier, it is our duty to stand against the medieval values of a few radical muslims who tolerate nothing when it comes to their primitive religious beliefs.

But fortunately Canada's leading newspapers are also defending their Danish counterparts.

However no major newspapers in Canada have reprinted these controversial toons yet and I doubt they ever would.

But like I said, the muslims should start cleaning their house first. They should condemn their own people when it comes to violation of human rights, stonning of women, suppression of young people and thousands of other crimes they do in the name of their allah.

Although I believe that the reaction from the muslims proved the cartoonist was right. This faith is violent and those protesting are showing us that they are very violent and unable to tolerate any thing against their ideas. It shows that spread of democracy is a must. It proves that the global war on terror is a serious business that has to be accomplished.

It is a matter of life and death! Because if we, who believe in secular values, bow to the few radical muslims, then our very own existence will come to an end.

I am very curious to see how this is going to end.

Me too, Winston. I think those cartoons were insulting and I don't have a problem with people expressing theri outrage with boycotts, letters, petitions or even mass demonstrations.

It's far beyond that now, though. If I was a European I'd feel that the sovereignity of my nation was being challenged by radical islam. I think there's going to be a sea change in european perceptions of the middle east over this little cartoon crisis. It baffles me. I don't think it's going to end well for anybody.

By the way, it was good to see you on Egyptian Sandmonkey's blog. I've seen you on Iranian blogs a lot lately :)

Hi there :-)
I also wonder like hell what the outcome of this will be.

Today the foreign minister of UK Jack Straw began to critisise Denmark, meanwhile loads of Hitb ut Tahrir supporters was chanting death to cartoonists in London.

One thing that I know for sure is that this is not just gonna fizzle out all by itself, because way too many are involved and way too many are taking a firm stand.

Many have tried to rat out and avoid having an opinion, but fewer and fewer remains neutral.

My personal hope is that people realise that these fantics are damn dangerous, and another hope (and I believe it's realistic too) is that people will open their eyes and see that many people from mid-east also are supporting us, so the outcome will be much more respect to those mid-easterners that shares our values, and less respect for those that are against us.
